Helsinki-tallinn race 14-15 of August. Back in Helsinki the 16th
I understand you chose to race Orc this summer. Did you have time to participate in more races to be able to comment on how you like the system as a non-professional sailor? I like the idea of ORCi, but sometimes felt that we should have taken it very seriously as regards to boat optimatization to gain a competitive rating. But I still liked the philosophy behind it. Let's just hope we get enough old yachts on the race courses, no matter which handicap we choose to sail under!
Sorry to notice your question so late. Orc club is more or less ok but it is not perfect, better to pay for ORCi Sometimes the old LYS is better handicap, because it is based on the statiatics. The best could really divide the yachtsbto pre and poat 1990. Somewhere there the design changed. Best thing is anyway to sail with friends.
