Weather forecast promised quite rough weather, so we chose medium wind Headsail. start was 17.18 and we had a good start. We did not play with spinnaker in the start, and it was a good choice because the fairwind legwas short.

Nice speed until the first turn on the southern buoy offshore. We did crucial mistake that multiplied afterwards (wind went down).Also the decision to take medium headsail insted of the light one was a wrog decision.

In the Sipoo opening we decided to end the race, and go to Sulkaniemi island (Merenkävijät) to enjoy sauna, beer and good night sleep.

On the 26th we were back in home docks, relaxed and well slept.

INSPECTED!

After the working Day Ipu joined the Skipper and we brought the Yacht in Särkkä-island for the annual inspection. Luckily we got an excellent weather.

Everything was fine and we are ready for this summer's adventures.

17th - 18th of May Loviisa-Helsinki

 

Small preparation and we started from Loviisa at 18.15. On the start we noticed that the water level is quite low because we softly touched the bottom.

 

At 22.30 We arrived to Bockhamn where we made some sausages and sipped down with cool beer.

 

 

18th of May we started at 8.00. No wind whatsoever. Should use the "Iron Sails". Home port was reached at 13.50.
